Beer Name: Hop Juice Black
Brewery: Two Brothers Brewing Co.
Style: Double IPA
Average Score: 80.5/100
ABV%: 9.9

What it looks like:

Super Dark, black as the bottle suggests. Mocha head which sat and them fell. Deep brown on the bottom of the glass. Heavy lacing. Dark and thick like my ex girlfriend.

Appearance Score: 10

What is smells like:

Uber hop forward, fitting of a double IPA. Dark fruit aroma, deep malt, and more hop hop hop than the easter bunny. Biscuit.

Aroma Score: 25

What is tastes like:

Malt forward, del roasted sweet flavor, then a richer deeper malt. Hop is present but not as forward as I thought. Donít get me wrong it is present, but the balance is a lot better than I expected. I high IBU with a solid malt body really is odd and appealing.

Taste Score: 45

Mouthfeel:

Not overly acrid, smooth for a double IPA. Medium bodied and pretty dam smooth.

Mouthfeel Score: 15

Overall Notes:

This one is worth stealing, seriously hardy and good. Well balanced, malt and hop. Normally Double IPAís are too sweet, two hoppy or two dry. This comes together well, malt, hops, not too sweet. Great job guys.
