Beer Name: Bark Bite
Brewery: Big Wood Brewery
Style: IPA
Average Score: 74/100
ABV%: 6.6

What it looks like:

Lots of suspensions, almost like a little galaxy of little white floatys. I expect a clearer cleaner beer from a craft that serves their beer in a can. Huge fluffy ice cream head.

Appearance Score: 6

What is smells like:

Though a little weak on the nose, it does put off a pleasant floral and creamy hop aroma, followed by a pleasant yeast wang.

Aroma Score: 20

What is tastes like:

Piney and a dry hop snap from the gate, followed by a smooth and creamy malt counterweight. There is a present but not assertive resins acidity that hold through until the very finish.

Taste Score: 35

Though assertive, it is oddly smooth as well. Also since it is dubbed a proper IPA it is allowed.

Mouthfeel Score: 15

Overall Notes:

Overall, the beer ranks as good to me, not great, not bad, but good. I am not overly compelled to have another which I have learned to trust as a sign that the brew takes an Average rating. With some cleanup on appearance, and some of the astringency removed this beer could easily be a 4 Star beer.
